This 20+ year old Phaya Nak (Naga) amulet is made from brass and made between BE2540 - BE2542 (1997-1999) at Wat Photong. These have long been sold out from the temple and you’ll hardly see these in the market. Comes encased in a beautifully crafted (handmade) black with green highlight waterproof acrylic to protect the amulet from the elements and the original green sash. The case on this amulet is one of the highest quality cases we’ve seen on an amulet and have been told it is a 2-3 hour process.
Phaya Nak or Naga is the serpent god known for its elusiveness and fast reflexes. They are a strong, handsome species who can assume either wholly human or wholly serpentine form and are potentially dangerous but often beneficial to humans. They have also been known as protector of Buddha and is the reason you see Phaya Nak at many Thai temples. Phaya Nak has been known to split into seven heads to cover and protect Buddha from the storm while meditating.
Comes hung on an adjustable rope necklace ready to be worn.
